FAQ
Do you service machines you didn’t supply?
Yes. We service third-party stretch wrappers, strappers and case sealers already on site, alongside every brand in the HMPS group. Tell us the make and model when you call and we’ll confirm before booking an engineer.
Where are your service teams based?
We have local service teams in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, supporting machines across Australia and New Zealand. Design and manufacture happen at our Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney sites, so the engineer attending your site can reach the people who built your machine.
Can you still get parts for an older machine?
Usually, yes. Parts are identified by the original manufacturer’s code rather than a proprietary number, so most components remain available from the original supplier. We hold spares across the group’s brands and can quote a critical spares package for your machine.
What does a service agreement include?
Scheduled servicing, a written report on machine condition, priority on parts, and different commercial terms on breakdown work. Agreements are scaled to how hard the line runs, so the right structure depends on your shifts and your machine. Ask us for a proposal alongside your next service.
Which brands does HMPS service?
HMPS, Propac Industrial, HMPS VIC stretch wrapping including legacy Excell machines, Engi-O fitment liquid fillers and Enmin vibratory equipment — plus third-party wrappers, strappers and case sealers already installed on your floor.
Can a fault be fixed without a site visit?
Often. Where a remote gateway is fitted, our engineers can see the PLC and HMI within minutes of your call. Faults in the program, a setting or a sensor are usually diagnosed on that call, and frequently resolved before a travel booking is made.
Can you upgrade a machine rather than replace it?
Often. Control system upgrades, safety upgrades to current category, added automated changeover points and new formats are all routine work on machines already in service. It’s worth asking before you budget for a replacement.
What happens at installation and commissioning?
Typically five to ten working days on site, including operator and maintenance training. Your machine is Factory Acceptance Tested with your own product before it ships, so commissioning confirms the line rather than discovering it.
